Personal Note
What I appreciate most about practicing in the area of workers’ compensation is that there is never a “boring” day at work. Applying legal expertise to each claim, with its unique set of facts, circumstances, and parties, fills my work day with interesting questions and allows me to consider different and creative solutions. Each new piece of information must be factored in and can affect the planned course of litigation. There is nothing I enjoy more than convincing a med-legal evaluator to alter his or her opinion. However, the most exciting time in a claim for me is receiving the newly referred file and reviewing the documents and medical reports to begin to piece the puzzle together. This process allows my mind to become fully stimulated as I begin to craft a plan of action to bring the claim to an efficient and appropriate end. I am invigorated by the prospect of making a tangible difference in the outcome of that claim.
My musical tastes are, for the most part, stuck in the 1990’s. In my defense, this was the formative time of my life and was a great era for music in almost all genres. I was a fan of country, rock, and alternative, as well as R&B/hip hop, largely because there so much great music being created during this decade. It is a fact. Without getting into a full dissertation on the subject, please know that if you are in my presence when a good 90’s song is played, I may start singing along.
