Career Basics

Eric Testan began his legal career practicing in bankruptcy and civil litigation, where he authored the prevailing legal brief in In re Kamell, 451 B.R. 505, 509 (Bankr. C.D.Cal. 2011), a case addressing the applicability of the absolute priority rule to individual Chapter 11 debtors. During this time, he appeared at hundreds of hearings—ranging from evidentiary matters to Chapter 11 confirmations – gaining a large range of experience early on.

Education

Eric earned his Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law in 2009, following a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2006. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2010 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of California.

Personal Note

Outside of the office, I enjoy staying active with basketball, tennis, and taking walks with my wife and our dog, June.
