Career Basics

Christina is a Hearing Representative in Mullen & Filippi’s Fresno office. With nearly 20 years of experience in workers’ compensation law, Christina has built an extensive background supporting attorneys on both the applicant and defense sides of practice. She began her career in 2004 assisting applicant attorneys with workers’ compensation matters, where she handled new client intake, case status updates, correspondence drafting, file review, and coordination with insurance companies and opposing counsel. In 2009, Christina transitioned to the defense side, serving in roles including Legal Secretary and Support Services Supervisor, and in 2013 she obtained her Paralegal Certificate and began working as a paralegal. Over the years, she has developed substantial experience as both a Paralegal and Hearing Representative, providing comprehensive support throughout all stages of workers’ compensation litigation. At Mullen & Filippi, her hard work and dedication to providing our attorneys with high-quality assistance is evident in her commitment to client service, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.

In addition, she holds a Workers’ Compensation Claims Administration Certificate, a Microsoft Business Certificate, and is a licensed and bonded Legal Document Assistant. Christina is currently in her third year as a student at San Joaquin College of Law and plans to transition into the role of an Associate Attorney practicing workers’ compensation defense following her graduation and admission to the State Bar of California.

Professional Membership

Christina looks forward to eventually becoming a member of the California State Bar Association, and will graduate law school in 2028.

Personal Note

I began my career in workers’ compensation defense by happenstance, but quickly discovered a passion for the field and have continued returning to it throughout my career. Inspired by my children and grandchild, I remain committed to advancing professionally and am currently pursuing my Juris Doctor with the goal of practicing as a workers’ compensation defense attorney.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, going to church, going for walks, and spending time with my children and grandchild.
