April earned her bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology with minors in English Literation and Fine Art from Auburn University in Alabama. She earned a special education credential from Fresno Pacific University before going to law school and earning her Juris Doctorate from San Joaquin College of Law in 2013.

Professional Membership

April Woods is a member of the California State Bar Association and attends local workers’ compensation association meetings.

Personal Note

Since working in the workers’ compensation area of law, I have enjoyed the aspect of cultivating good relationships with my clients. I love the investigation process of claims and love studying the American Medical Association Guides for medical report analysis.
I am happily married with a teenage son and 3 adult step children. My family and I love the outdoors and enjoy camping, fishing, skiing and kayaking. In addition, I am an avid yoga practitioner. Prior to becoming an attorney, I was a special education teacher and would have also liked doing family counseling.
