Career Basics

Austin Mandujano has been involved in the California workers’ compensation system since 2022. Since beginning legal practice in 2022, he has spent most of those years as a defense attorney. Austin was hired at Mullen & Filippi’s San Diego location in 2023, and has been a dedicated team member ever since.

Education

Austin graduated from the Dale E. Fowler School of Law, at Chapman University, in 2021. Before graduating, Austin had internships in both the public and private sectors, including a year with the Supervising Deputy Attorney’s Discovery Unit in Los Angeles. This is where he crafted his defense-oriented mindset by fighting petitions for Pitchess Motions against the city’s police officers. He attended college at the University of California, Irvine, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in political science with honors.

Professional Membership

Austin is a member of the State Bar of California.

Personal Note

What I love most about being a lawyer is that each case is like a puzzle. As a lawyer, you always have the opportunity to redesign your practice to accomplish unique goals. In my years of practice, I have been able to handle a variety of different claims and cases, and use my efforts to strategize different ways to achieve the best possible outcome.
When people meet me, they’re sometimes surprised by the fact that I am a big West Coast Swing Dancer. I travel to conventions where I participate in classes taught by champions, and even compete against other dancers of the same level. Dancing relieves me of stress, allows me to be creative, and connect with people around the world by not saying a word.
