Career Basics

April Domingo joined the Orange office of Mullen & Filippi in October 2023. April graduated from Chapman University Fowler School of Law in 2006. She started her legal career in the area of corporate law and mergers and acquisitions, and then joined the Orange County Public Defender’s office in 2008. As a public defender, she honed her litigation and negotiation skills through her extensive trial work. April is now eager to use those same skills in workers’ compensation defense.

Education

April received her law degree from Chapman University Fowler School of Law in 2006. She was the recipient of the Cali Award for Legal Research and Writing in 2004. April was an active member in the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and Phi Alpha Delta. Prior to graduating, April also worked as an intern with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. April received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside in 2003.

Personal Note

In my career, I’ve discovered that if you work hard and are nice to people, it can take you far. Never stop learning. Never stop developing. And always trust your instincts. Outside of my career, I am a dedicated mother to three children and a loving wife to my husband. We enjoy camping, snowboarding, and traveling. As Orange County residents, we also love going to Disneyland as we are big fans of anything related to Star Wars and the Marvel Universe.
