A medical treatment lien pertaining to accepted injuries/treatment in the amount of $418,403.25 was successfully resolved for $5,000.00 by Julia Heilbron, Associate Attorney in Mullen & Filippi’s Riverside office.
At the time the file was transferred to Mullen & Filippi for handling from another defense firm, the claim was accepted and had proceeded to trial, resulting in a finding of 100% permanent disability and a $1 million C&R. Despite the significant exposure associated with the claim, the lien was ultimately negotiated down by Julia to a minimal fraction of its original value.
