Career Basics

During law school Jeffrey Durra worked in a civil litigation office and then for a corporate counsel. He received his Juris Doctorate from Santa Barbara College of Law in 1988 and for the first two years after getting licensed, his legal practice involved a wide variety of cases. Jeffrey became involved in workers’ compensation by handling subrogation cases for a firm in Pasadena, first on a contract basis, then as a full time employee. In January of 1990, he was being sent to the WCAB in all locations from San Diego to Grover Beach, and had subrogation cases filed from El Centro to San Luis Obispo. In 1995 Jeffrey joined the firm. He has been practicing in the Santa Rosa office ever since, handling both workers’ compensation and subrogation matters.

Education

Jeffrey received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Boston University 1978 followed by his J.D. in 1988 from Santa Barbara College of Law.

Professional Membership

Jeffrey is a member of the State Bar of California and former Board Member of his homeowners’ association. He volunteers time for pro bono work.

Personal Note

There is a finite amount of law and an infinite amount of factual situations. Determining facts takes diligence, applying the law takes reason.
I am an active member, volunteer and ride leader in the Santa Rosa Cycling Club. If I wasn’t an attorney I’d probably be in finance. The economy and financial world still intrigue me.
