Career Basics
Basma Arcamone has practiced workers’ compensation law on and off since the beginning of her career. She has worked both as an applicant’s attorney as well as on the defense side. Her experience representing both sides has given her a unique ability to discern genuine injuries from those that are exaggerated or fabricated. Basma represents insurance carriers and employers with respect to worker’s compensation claims all over California.
Education
Basma attended San Diego State University and initially majored in biology with the intent to go to medical school. Shortly thereafter, she changed her major to history and political science, as that was where her heart was. She graduated from SDSU and was accepted to Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2010. Basma loved law school and excelled academically. She worked at the public defender’s office during law school, which provided her with valuable experience in the courtroom setting.

Basma is a member of the State Bar of California.
Personal Note
In my career, the most important lesson I have learned is to be honest and ethical. I practice with integrity and hold high respect for the legal system. I hope to continue to grow in my career and make a difference within the system. While I started out my career focusing primarily on family law and personal injury, I found that workers’ compensation is where my passion lies. Growing up in a medical family, I have a strong appreciation for the medical aspect of the practice. My medical background has helped me to excel within this area of law.
If I were not an attorney, I would probably be a chef. I absolutely love to cook and feed people. I love trying new recipes and perfecting old ones. My dream job has always been to be a food network chef on TV!
