In December 2015, Eko started practicing law. He started with a full service law firm and majored in litigation. In 2018 Eko was appointed the Head of Legal Research and Strategy at the Legal Assent. Eko was involved in regulatory compliance and earned a certificate of specialization in that area of law. Eko litigated cases in different fora, before trial and appellate courts with satisfactory results. He has also published several articles in the field of law.
My inspiration in law practice has been what I know we can do with law. I have thought of law and its application as an interesting piece of a puzzle and a tool for daily living. However, in the course of practicing law I realized that law is far more than a puzzle that could guide our daily lives. The words of Roscoe Pound that law is a means of socio-engineering became flesh and made a more practical meaning to me. Law is the lifeblood of our society. What we do with law can either make or mar lives. Society either stands with law or falls with or without law. This has shaped my view on how law ought to be applied.
