Personal Note
Choosing law as a permanent career was a journey. I allowed myself to explore different professions to discover what truly ignited my passions and best utilized my skill set. My experience ranges from working as an international shipping manager in Asia to caring for patients as a Registered Nurse. Ultimately, the law—and especially workers’ compensation, with its myriad of interesting legal twists and turns—captured my interest and provided the professional fit I had been seeking. I have experience on both sides of the bar, but defense work is where I truly excel. When approaching a case, I view myself first as an investigator, identifying the critical and sometimes hidden facts that shape my legal strategy. I am especially adept at reviewing voluminous medical records to uncover details that may lead to case resolution. My goal is always to achieve the outcome my client seeks, whether that is early settlement or a well-supported case for trial.
If I could live anywhere, it would likely be somewhere in Southeast Asia. I have traveled extensively throughout Asia, including the subcontinent. I love that in many parts of Asia there are night markets where people can congregate at all hours to socialize, eat, and shop. My favorite form of travel is by train and Asia has one of the most extensive networks in the world from slow plodding mountainous trains, to super-fast high-speed rail. The energy and hospitality of Asia is unmatched.
When not working, I enjoy spending time in nature and eating spicy food with my wife and our three children.
