Career Basics

Justin Tavaf has been in the California workers’ compensation system since 2022. His first year of practice was spent doing contract work for production companies in Los Angeles. Justin represents employers, third-party administrators, and insurance carriers with respect to workers’ compensation claims and related matters.

Education

Justin graduated from the University of Oregon in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. After undergrad, Justin went on to the University of San Francisco to complete his JD in 2021.

Personal Note

In my career, I’ve discovered that communication is the best tool for all claims, discussions and negotiations work best when parties are able to communicate well. Being an attorney is never boring, the law is always changing. Since I was a young boy I had always wanted to become an attorney.

If I weren’t an attorney, I’d probably be a ski patroller. I grew up going to the snow a lot, and always feel at home with two skis on my feet or one snowboard. It is important to note, I would be a ski patroller with my dog who would love to run free on the snow helping people.

Mullen & Filippi was founded in 1949 to provide counsel to employers, carriers, and third-party administrators in defense of Workers’ Compensation matters.
