Career Basics

Karisa McNamara was hired by the San Diego office of Mullen & Filippi in November of 2018. Karisa has practiced in the area of workers’ compensation since 2003. She represents employers, third party administrators, and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation cases throughout Southern California. Prior to workers’ compensation, Karisa honed her trial skills as a deputy district attorney for Merced and Fresno Counties.

Education

Karisa received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California Law School in 1998. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University California, San Diego in 1995, where she majored in political science and minored in history and law and society.

Karisa is a member of the State Bar of California Karisa is also on the governing committee of Cub Scout Pack 975 as the Awards Chairperson.

Personal Note

I was drawn to the practice of law because it touches every aspect of our society.
One of my favorite places to go is Disneyland and I hope to travel one day with my family to Disneyworld Florida.
