Career Basics
Karla has dedicated her career to workers’ compensation since 2008, when she began working as a paralegal. After more than a decade of industry experience, she became a licensed attorney in 2022 and practiced at an applicant’s firm representing injured workers. Today, as a defense attorney, Karla leverages her comprehensive understanding of the workers’ compensation system and her experience on both sides of the aisle to provide effective representation and practical solutions for her clients.
Education
Karla attended Empire College School of Law in Santa Rosa, where she earned her Master of Legal Studies degree in 2019. She subsequently obtained her Juris Doctor, graduating with honors in 2021.

Personal Note
Karla began her legal career representing injured workers, gaining firsthand insight into the applicant side of workers’ compensation. She now applies that experience in her defense practice, where she works to evaluate claims strategically, anticipate challenges, and guide clients toward efficient and effective resolutions.
Karla enjoys spending her free time outdoors, often hiking and taking walks with her German Shepherd. She also enjoys reading, traveling, and making time for her family. Outside of her work on cases, she values staying active, exploring new places, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
