Career Basics
Marjan Hemmati has returned to the Orange office of Mullen & Filippi; she intially started as an associate attorney in 2019, and has practiced law in the area of workers’ compensation since 2017. She represents employers, third-party administrators, and insurance carriers with respect to workers’ compensation claims and related matters. Prior to entering workers’ compensation, she worked as an in-house counsel for an international company handling all aspects of business matters within the company.
Education
Marjan graduated from University of California, Irvine in 2005, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She earned her Juris Doctor degree at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in December of 2014 where she was the vice president of Middle Eastern Law Student Association, board member of the student body association, and a member of National Lawyers Guild Association and Business Law Association.

Personal Note
I was drawn to practice workers’ compensation because this field provides a good mix of legal research and writing, depositions, negotiations and trials as well as its sense of community.
One of my passions is dancing. If I weren’t an attorney, I would probably be a ballerina.
